No shocking result in a game when seventh rankedSakers (8-10) beat 9th ranked Samsung Thunders (6-13) in Changwon 90-76 on Tuesday. LG Sakers outrebounded Seoul Thunders 43-32 including 20 on the offensive glass. LG Sakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and Filipino forward Carl Tamayo (200-2001) supported him with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by naturalized American guard Justin Gutang (191-1997, college: Skyline JC) did not help to save the game for Seoul Thunders . The former international guard Seong-Mo Choi (183-1994) added 15 points and 4 assists. Four Seoul Thunders players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sakers have a solid three-game winning streak. LG Sakers maintains seventh position with 8-10 record. Loser Samsung Thunders keep the ninth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Sono SG.
